Menu & Food10 questions
What are your signature dishes?
Kuroda's Premium Loin in house soy marinade, Kuroda-yaki with soft-boiled egg, seared yukhoe, and premium beef tongue with salt. We suggest these four on a first visit.
What kind of beef do you serve?
We select lean cuts from A5-grade Japanese Black wagyu. Rather than heavily marbled beef, we focus on tender lean cuts with a deep savoury flavour.
Do you offer set courses?
Yes — the Kuroda Course (12 dishes, ¥8,250) and the Tokusen Kuroda Course (15 dishes, ¥11,000). Free-flow drinks can be added for ¥2,970.
Do you have a free-flow drink option?
Yes, ¥2,970. It can be added to either course.
How should I eat the Kuroda-yaki?
Grill it briefly — about 10 seconds on one side and 5 on the other — then coat it generously in the soft-boiled egg. Our staff often grill it for you.
What is "negiajillo"?
It is our ajillo made with spring onion. Spoon the bubbling onion over your beef tongue — its sweetness brings out the flavour of the meat.
Tell me about your sauces and condiments.
We make our own condiments, including a mozuku-seaweed and pepper tsukudani, a vinegar-based sauce and a soy marinade — combinations you will not find elsewhere.
Can you accommodate food allergies?
We may be able to adjust some dishes. Please tell us when you book, or speak to a member of staff before ordering.
What is there besides beef?
Plenty — kimchi, choregi salad, several soups, cold noodles, chilled dan dan noodles, gukbap, our menchi-katsu croquette and desserts.
Which dessert do you recommend?
Our house-made pudding, cheekily named "Just a Yakiniku Shop" pudding, is the favourite. We also serve monaka ice cream, banana chocolate cake and sorbet.
